FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: test image is presented on a monitor for 300-400 ms and then replaced by a post-exposition matrix of the same size and format. The matrix contains colour sectors with digits marked from the inside. A person being tested names a digit and a sector colour according to the first point of involuntary visual attention fixation that enables localising the first point of involuntary visual attention fixation. The second point of involuntary visual attention fixation is localised by repeating the procedure with an exposition to be increased to 600-800 ms; the third point is localised by increasing the exposition to 900-1,200 ms. At least two images are presented to the person being tested. A path of involuntary visual attention fixation for each presented image is constructed by connecting the points successively starting from the image centre to the first, then second and third points of fixation.

EFFECT: invention enables providing more reliable determination of the involuntary visual attention offset that is ensured by presenting the image and post-exposition matrix for the period of time sufficient enough to perform the first, second and third eye shift, successive fixation of the points of involuntary attention offset and construction of the path.
