FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in production of material for assembly of friction assemblies of air and ground transport with increased energy load, high-speed elevators, pumping equipment and other mechanisms, suitable for operation in aggressive media, in all climatic zones, including in direct contact with sea and fresh water, oil and gas and chemical industry products. Method involves cutting carbon fibre to required dimensions of 10–40 mm, mixing thereof with hydro- or aerodynamic methods with medium-temperature pitch binder powder, pressing at melting point of pitch, annealing and high-temperature treatment at temperature of 1700–2200 °C to obtain necessary gaps between fibre and female die. Then performing the pyro compression process at temperature of 850–1000 °C for at least 90 hours until complete filling gap carbon between fibre and female die, then density of workpiece is increased by additional impregnation with high-temperature pitch, carbonization is carried out at pressure of 15–25 MPa and temperature of 600–800 °C.
EFFECT: technical result consists in achievement of higher stability values of physical and mechanical characteristics, including carbon-ceramic composite material impact strength, as well as friction values.
