FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of thermal treatment of metals, in particular, to methods of producing wear-resistant structures when making working members of tillage tools. Method of processing surfaces of working elements of tillage tools from high-strength cast iron includes laser exposure on tool surface, forming a laser beam spot with a defined beam power on the sample and obtaining a coefficient of overlapping the laser beam spot in range of 0.1 to 0.9. At that surfaces of working elements are processed from high-strength cast iron VCh 50 CO2-laser, and then generating a laser beam spot of power P=2.0 kW on the sample. Radiation spot diameter is determined in treatment zone equal to d=9 mm and processing is performed with laser movement speed υ=470 mm/s and coverage coefficient of laser beam spot 0.3.
EFFECT: obtaining preset stable depth of clean bleached layer with depth of 0,14 mm in cutting part of working elements of tillage tools from high-strength cast iron, high hardness.
