FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: gate valve incorporates body, gate, main and additional drives articulated to main shaft reciprocating when driven by main drive and rotating driven by additional shaft. The gate is fitted on the main shaft and represents two parallel shutters with their inner side furnished with the grooves receiving the ledges arranged on the wedge accommodating the main shaft to revolve about its axis. The shutters upper parts are linked so as to allow the shutters to move in horizontal plane and relative to the main shaft. With shutters drawing together, their side rear edges form a slot on the body to house a guide pin designed to make a support for approached shutters and a guide for them when the gate shifts.
EFFECT: simpler design, higher reliability, longer life.
