METHOD FOR VOLTAGE CURVE REGISTRATION Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC G01N27/48

Abstract RU 2338184 C1

FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in inversion voltammetric analysis of solutions for microconcentration of analysed substances. According to invention, method involves two measurement cycles for the same analysed solution for signal registration. In the first measurement cycle products of analysed substance recovery or oxidation are accumulated on indication surface of work electrode at definite work electrode potential during definite accumulation time (required to precipitate products of analysed substance recovery or oxidation; These products are dissolved in electrochemical way by changing potential of work electrode; and voltage curve is registered. Then second measurement cycle is performed for the same solution, namely, products of analysed substance recovery or oxidation are accumulated on indication surface of work electrode at the same potential as in the first measurement cycle, for as long as 1% to 10% of accumulation time of the first measurement cycle; and voltage curve is registered. Registered voltage curves are processed automatically by extraction of second cycle voltage curve from first cycle voltage curve; and difference voltage curve is registered. The claimed technical solution allows measurement of various substances (up to 10-10 mol/dm3) in different objects with high precision and reduced time reduction for voltammetric analysis due to better detection of analysed substance signal in voltage difference curve, and also possible effect of analysed solution parametres (e.g., pH) on measurement precision is eliminated.

EFFECT: enhanced measurement precision.
