SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology and can be used for early diagnostics of premature retinopathy. Newborns born with body weight less than 1500 g and gestation term less than 32 weeks are tested for haemoglobin and erythrocyte content in 1 month after birth. If haemoglobin content is 110 g/l and less, and erythrocyte content is less than 4.0×1012 g/l, high disease factor is predicted.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction and early detection of children with high premature retinopathy factor.
