FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: water clarification device incorporates housing 1 with coaxial cylindrical 2 and tapered 3 partitions, reaction chamber 5 and flocculation chamber 6 separated by tapered partition 3. The proposed device comprises also an annular horizontal partition 4 connecting the bottom of tapered partition 3 with cylindrical partition 2, tin-layer sedimentation elements 7, starting water feed assembly 8, clarified water withdraw assembly 9 and sediment withdrawal assembly 10. Edge 11 of the top part of tapered partition 3 is arranged above the water level in reaction chamber 5 exceeding that in flocculation chamber 6. Nozzles 12 designed to transfer water from reaction chamber 5 into flocculation chamber 6 are arranged at the top part of tapered partition 3 right below the water level in the aforesaid flocculation chamber.
EFFECT: flocculation higher water spinning speed due to using difference in water levels in reaction and flocculation chambers.
