FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: gas turbine unit incorporates compressor, combustion chamber, a power gas turbine, electric generator and heat exchanger. The compressor outlet is connected to the combustion chamber inlet. The said combustion chamber outlet communicates with the power gas turbine inlet. The aforesaid heat exchanger inlet communicates with a high-pressure natural gas pipeline, while its outlet communicates with the high-pressure line feeding natural gas to the turbo-expander. Note that the heat exchanger heating medium is represented by hot gases exhausted from the power gas turbine, the high rpm compressor features an independent turbo-expander drive, the power gas turbine is linked only to the electric generator and the air compression ratio is determined by the formula protected by the proposed invention.
EFFECT: smaller unit overall dimensions, higher reliability.
