FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes measuring of stomatal conductance of leaves before and after increase of atmosphere temperature. Stomatal conductance of leaves is measured at atmosphere temperature of 24°C and after its increase to 28°C. In addition hydraulic conductivity of roots is measured at atmosphere temperature of 24°C and after its increase to 28°C. When stomatal and hydraulic conductance is reduced, plant is referred to drought resistance type regulation of water balance. If stomatal and hydraulic conductance is not changed or increased, plant is referred to drought resistance type regulation of water balance.
EFFECT: allows for defining plant mechanism of water penetration into root and water evaporation through leaf and facilitates breeding process.
