SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of assessing and selecting high-yielding soybean genotypes based on the stomatal conductance of leaf water vapour, including the determination of the stomatal conductance of the leaves by measuring the conductivity of water vapour on the central leaf plate of the trifoliate leaf, located at the top 4 node of the main shoot of soybean plants in the fruit formation phase, at that the measurements are carried out from 8:00 to 11:00 hours of the day using a portable gas analyzer of the brand LI-6400 XT and select forms with stomatal conductivity of water vapour by 25 % more than the average for the estimated sample.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce time costs and improve accuracy compared with known methods.
