FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: at one end of an optical fibre there is a reference substance with known reference temperature. The substance is heated to its reference temperature. The signal entering the fibre when reference temperature is reached enters the measuring device in form of a calibration signal and is compared in it with the theoretical value of the reference temperature. The difference is used for graduation. Attenuation in the fibre is determined.
EFFECT: improved method of balancing measuring signals and the corresponding device for implementing the method.
