FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: pseudoisothermal radial chemical reactor has cylindrical body, which is closed on opposite ends by flat bottoms, and reaction zone. In reaction zone there is catalyst layer and a lot of placed in it heat exchangers. Additionally reactor has one second reaction zone, which has catalyst layer and a lot of placed in it heat exchangers. Second zone communicates with first reaction zone.
EFFECT: efficient control of progressing reaction.
