FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and can be used in synthesis of chemical compounds, particularly methanol. The reactor comprises a cylindrical housing closed at the opposite ends. In the top part of the housing at its axis there is at least one first adiabatic layer with a circular cross-section. In the bottom part of the housing on one axis with the first layer there is a pseudo-isothermal layer. In the circular part of the second layer there are several heat exchangers fixed in the housing, through which fluid heat carrier flows. Each layer has inlet and outlet sides for passage of gaseous reagents or reaction mixture.
EFFECT: high conversion output, high efficiency and simple design.
