FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a nanostructured target for producing radionuclide molybdenum-99 and can be used to produce radionuclide molybdenum-99 (99Mo) high specific activity (without carrier), which is the basis for creation of radionuclide generators of technetium-99m (99mTc), having wide application in nuclear medicine for diagnostic purposes. Production of radioisotope 99Mo is carried out by reaction of 98Mo (n,γ) and 100Mo (γ,n). Isotope is obtained in form of a matrix of activated alumina with cavities and channels with characteristic dimensions lying in range of 2-50 nm. Nano-layer of molybdenum-containing substance is applied on surface of cavities and channels, thickness of which is less than length of path of recoil atoms of 99Mo in substance of nanolayer. Nanolayer of molybdenum-containing substance used is water-insoluble aluminum molybdate (Al2[MoO4]3).
EFFECT: simple procedure of extracting radionuclide 99Mo.
