FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat-exchange devices which can be applied to gas cooling in colour, chemical, food and other industries, and in bioengineering production. Assigned task is solved with gas cooling device that is air cooler including tower-type box-like case containing square working substance inlet and outlet manifold, interconnected horizontal apertured grid, sprayer units mounted in top half casing and separator. Apertures of the grid contain cap nozzles in the form of coaxial convergent nozzles and diffusers. Diffusers are mounted above the grid with their narrow sections circularly apertured. Separator is mounted in outlet manifold and designed as symmetrical apertured corrugated plates lying above one another. Upper plate is horizontal, and lower is inclined. Apertures of upper plate are formed in hollows, and of lower plate on corrugation crests. Besides, lower plate is open relative to side wall casing.
EFFECT: higher cooling efficiency at minimum spray fluid consumption due to non-evaporated fluid application and spray-loss reduction that provides higher cooling efficiency.
