FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: systemic analysis of the roentgenograms made before and after the treatment is caried out. Preliminary roentgenopositive axis of the base plumb is rendered on the roentgenogram. The presence of the scoliotic arch is revealed in the given backbone part. The quantity of vertebra involved in this arch, and also the total number of vertebra in the given part are determined. Orel-Artemov index is defined under the offered formula. The parameters received before and after the treatment are compared and judgement abut the treatment efficiency is rendered by difference between these parameters.

EFFECT: method is simple, allows to estimate scoliosis treatment efficiency.
