FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, vertebrology. Determined is index of rotation setting R and limits of said index, which make it possible to perform diagnosis of various spine pathologies by formula: where ISPS is index of spinous process step; IVIAS is index of vertebra inclination angle step, n is quantity of examined vertebrae, and value R is used to judge about presence of one or another pathology in patient: R within the range from 0.15 to 0.27 indicates presence of ankylosing spondilitis (Bekhterev disease); R within the range from 0.27 to 0.43 is characteristic of patients with early stages of Bekhterev disease and patients with conventional norm or I degree scoliosis, R within the limits from 0.43 to 0.67 indicates scoliosis of III-IV degree. Index of rotation setting is determined taking into account displacement of spinous process of each vertebra and its inclination angle.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency of diagnosing spine pathology by means of one integral index.
