FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for materials processing, in particular, to methods for high-precision laser cutting of brittle non-metal materials, mostly glass, under effect of thermoelastic strains. Method includes surface heating of cutting line with the first laser beam with the length of wave that provides maximum absorption of emission by surface layer, and simultaneous action of additional laser beam with the length of wave that provides volume absorption of emission, at that the latter is installed on the cutting line between the first laser beam and area of cooling agent action.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cutting products with large height of end surfaces.
