FIELD: technological processes; explosive works.
SUBSTANCE: cavities are made beforehand in plated sheet on the side that is opposite to mating surface, as dead cylindrical holes with preset diameter and depth. They are filled with filler in the form of cylindrical inserts from stronger material compared to material of plated sheet. Explosive substance is placed on plating sheet in the form of charges that have different speed of detonation and different thickness and provide constancy of deforming impulse ID in collision area along the whole joined surface in the process of explosive welding. Ratio of deforming impulses ID/ID crit is selected within the range from 1.0 to 1.76, where ID crit - critical value of deforming impulse, when energy spent for deformation of near-contact metal volumes provides required extent of contact surfaces activation for formation of high-quality joint. After explosive welding, dead holes in bimetal stock are drilled to preset diameter.
EFFECT: lowering of residual bend of bimetal sheet and stabilisation of welded joint wave profile parameters along detonation front on the whole surface of mating area.
