FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric semiconductor device for local cavernous hypothermia contains applicator, thermoelectric changer of applicator temperature including cooling unit with semiconductor thermoelectric battery with cold junctions thermally contacting working liquid, and hot junctions thermally contacting liquid heat exchanger. Cooling unit is air-tight and provided with flexible liquid and steam tubes connected to rigid cylindrical handle. Flexible liquid tube enters into air-tight cooling unit at the layer of capillary-porous material contacting cold junctions, partially moving its cavity and is impregnated with working liquid. Besides, it contains electromagnetic blower consisting of two magnetic coils, mounted on the surface of flexible liquid tube. Between magnetic coils in its internal cavity there is piston made of magnetic alloy, and piston retainers. Cylindrical handle includes two high- heat-conducting tubes of smaller and greater diameter joining flexible liquid and steam tubes, respectively, ends of which are end-connected behind end surface of handle to form efficient applicator with extended internal surface in the form of rounded edges in its cavity.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of heat transfer and downsizing of the device.
