FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns thermographic printing device with ink feed, particularly printing device with gear drive operating in two directions and intended for driving impression ribbon and label material. Printing device with gear drive operating in two directions to maintain movement of impression ribbon feed forward and backward includes gear unit mounted in the printing device case and containing: cogwheel for impression ribbon rewinding, cogwheel for impression ribbon unwinding, driven cogwheel rotating inside the case at a distance from cogwheel for impression ribbon rewinding and cogwheel for impression ribbon unwinding, turning cogwheel gear unit mounted in the case, spring hitching outer rod periphery by friction in order to turn the cogwheel gear drive by rotating cogwheel rotation. In another implementation version printing device with gear drive includes: stationary cogwheel unit containing multiple cogwheels rotating inside the case of printing device; and turning cogwheel unit mounted in the printing device case on joints, and spring hitching outer rod periphery.

EFFECT: simple gear drive with reduced manufacturing cost and requiring only one electric drive motor.
