FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: for continuous casting of steel ingots it is used casting mold with sides ratio 300×(330-360) mm. Method includes: feeding of steel from tundish ladle into casting mold, extraction ingot from it with variable speed, maintenance and direction of ingot by means of rollers in zone of roller-type secondary cooling with combined cooling by air-water mixture and clamping of uninterruptedly-casted ingot in withdrawal-roll set by wide side for 2-4 mm. At that steel temperature in tundish ladle is kept higher than liquidus temperature for 10-30°C, and in casting mold - for 0-10°C, pulling speed is changed depending on steel temperature in range 0.60-0.80 m/min, and cooling by air-water mixture is implemented by zones with ratio of water consumption and air consumption in the first zone, which is (1.90-2.15):120, m³/h, in the second zone - (1.15-1.55):180, m³/h, and in the third zone - (0.95-1.10):200, m³/h at ratio of cooling zones length 350-1000-1300, mm.

EFFECT: productivity improvement of casting, improvement of surface and macrostructure of uninterruptedly-casted steel ingots.
