FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed current collector contains electrically insulated bars of a frame with three current collector elements, fitted on the overall width of the trolley bus. The middle current collector element is electrically connected to two outermost elements through semiconductor rectifiers. The current collector has a pneumatic actuator, which lowers it and lifts it up, and also provides the necessary constant press force on the actuator of the contact system. The pneumatic actuator has a remote control system.
EFFECT: increased reliability of current collection and simplification of the overhead contact system.
