SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to locking devices and can be used for locking and sealing doors. The electronic locking and sealing device includes a housing, a piece of rope permanently connected to the housing, non-return locking mechanism installed in the housing and interacting with the rope. The housing additionally comprises a rope sensor and microchip connected to it, which is fitted with a data transmission element by means of which an electromagnetic signal is formed by request and detected by an external receiver. The sensor detects the rope movements, and there is a recess, covered with a sleeve from outside, on the inlet side of the housing, an axially rotating profiled washer is installed in the recess, the washer has an opening with a profile following that of the rope cross-section to generate a rope movement signal when the washer rotates, and the electromagnetic signal is generated on the basis of rope movement direction and distance.

EFFECT: opportunity to detect that the seal was broken.
