FIELD: weaponry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to projectiles with driving devices. The proposed shell incorporates a composite ballistic arrowhead, a sector driving device clamped by slip-on rings and comprising the front and rear centering supports forming a centering base. Each of the aforesaid supports is furnished with a circular air intake and fins fitted directly on the shell casing. The diameter of the air intake mouth of the front centering support makes 3.3 to 3.9 of the shell casing diameter, while the diameter of the air intake mouth of the rear centering support makes 5.2 to 5.5 of the shell casing diameter. Note here that the centering base length makes 0.25 to 0.4 of the shell casing length.
EFFECT: higher armour-piercing capacity.
