SUBSTANCE: declared group of inventions concerns to the analysis of water for the purpose of an estimate of its impurity. The method of determination of the substance content in water is presented, in particular, contents of organic carbon and (or) nitrogen in which the sample of water is vapoured and burned down in a heating vessel (furnace), and the combustion yield is transmitted by a stream of transporting gas to the detector for definition of concentration of gaseous linking of substance contained in water; the method in which calibration is carried out with the predetermined volume of the gauge gas containing predetermined concentration of a device, corresponding contained in substance water, in particular, carbon and (or) nitrogen. The declared expedient is realised by means of the device of the measured sample containing submitting device, a heating vessel, a radiant of transporting (bearing) gas, the detector on an exit from a heating vessel and the product line pairing an inlet of a heating vessel with a radiant of transporting gas to which it is connected or can be connected and anchored the device of delivery of the measured sample; thus into the product line of shipping gas is integrated or one tank of the gauge gas is subject to integration, at least.
