SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry. Method for quantitative determination of volatile organic substances in clathrate complexes by GC analysis of a gaseous phase released as a result of interaction of a weighted sample of a clathrate complex with an aqueous alkaline or acidic solution, wherein the sample of the clathrate complex is pre-mixed with a known amount of another clathrate complex containing one or more internal standards, then a weighted combined sample placed in a chromatographic vial is evacuated at 2–100 mm Hg for 0.5–3 minutes, thereafter, water solution of alkali or acid is sprayed into vial, shaken vigorously for 1–10 minutes and then released for analysis released gas phase.

EFFECT: high accuracy of analyzing volatile compounds in clathrate complexes.
