SUBSTANCE: linear magnetoresistive detector is related to facilities for registration of magnet fields and may be used in control instrumentation: tachometers, displacement detectors, devices for measurement of direct and alternating magnet fields. Linear magnetoresistive detector comprises 2(N+1) (N=0, 2, 3...) pairs of multilayer thin-film magnetoresistive strips made of ferromagnetic materials with anisotropic magnet-resistive effect, at that pairs of magnet-resistive strips are combined into two branches, by (N+1) serially connected pairs of strips. Branches have one common grounding point. In every pair of strips one strip has longitudinal axis of light magnetisation (ALM), which is oriented along strip length, and the second strip has transverse ALM, which is oriented along strip width. Magnetoresistive strips with transverse ALM in pairs of the first branch and magnetoresistive strips with longitudinal ALM in pairs of the second branch have magnetic displacement of single polarity, and strips with longitudinal ALM in the first branch and strips with transverse ALM in the second branch have magnetic displacement of opposite polarity.
EFFECT: production of magnetic field detector, which has odd, S-shaped (linear) static volt-oersted characteristic and higher sensitivity to magnetic field.
