FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: metal ions are extracted from solutions through sorption by a cationite. The cationite used is a rubber crumb, processed by gaseous nitrogen oxides at 25-50°C temperature, with subsequent pre-oxidation of the product with atmospheric oxygen while mixing.
EFFECT: increased sorption capacity of the cationite, increased number of sorbed ions.
