FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method of cationite production which can be used in the chemistry and metallurgy when cleaning the waste water of the metal ions. The method of cationite production is implemented by means of acrylic acid inoculation to the comminuted rubber pretreated with the gaseous nitrogen oxides at the temperature 25-50°C. The previously crumbed tread rubber with particle size 0.125-1.0 mm was used as comminuted rubber. The acid number of the resulting product is in the range 8.74-12.04 mg KOH/g.
EFFECT: improvement of the process manufacturability, efficiency and capability of heavy metal ions extraction; simplification of the cationite production method.
