FIELD: chemistry; water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to devices for electromagnetic treatment of liquids and can be used in different industries during electromagnetic treatment (activation) of aqueous systems, for example, in thermal power, chemical, mining, and metallurgy industry as well as in construction materials. The device has a three-phase stator with a magnetising winding inside a case, a sealed container with an inlet and an outlet, a rotor-core with grooves and teeth on the lateral surface, which is concentrically fitted inside the stator and the container, and electrodes. The electrodes are connected to an independent alternating or direct current source. One of the electrodes is in form of thin-walled metal pipe (pipe-electrode), which is fitted inside the stator and electrically insulated from it. The other electrode is in form of metal conductors, insulated from the treated liquid, fitted into the grooves of the rotor and connected to each other by a metal ring on one side. The pipe-electrode, fitted in the stator, is divided into segments, conductor sections with spaces between them. The conductors lie in the zone of intepolar space of the magnetic system of the device, mainly over the stator grooves, while the spaces between them- mainly over the teeth of the stator core. Conductors of the divided section of the pipe-electrode are connected into a common electrical circuit on one side only by a metal ring, with the undivided section of the pipe-electrode, which lies in the stator end winding zone.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of electromagnetic treatment of a liquid through treatment with different types of magnetic field and increase of its intensity, coupled with the possibility of simultaneous treatment of liquid using heavy currents in the interpolar space of the magnetic system of the device.
