FORMULATION FOR DIAGNOSTICS OF 2ND TYPE DIABETES AND DISTURBED GLUCOSE TOLERANCE AND METHODS OF ITS APPLICATION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01N33/66 A61K31/715

Abstract RU 2348040 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to products used for detection of metabolic disease. Oral sample breakfast is suggested for diagnostics of carbohydrate metabolism disturbance in vertebrate, which contains the following components: (a) from 35 to 55 wt % of glycemic polysaccharide; (b) from 10 to 35 wt % of mono- and disaccharides containing glucose; (c) from 10 to 25 wt % of dietary fat, and (d) from 5 to 8 wt % of dietary protein, at that breakfast provides selected amount of glycemic carbohydrate, which is efficient for increase of glucose levels in vertebrate blood, and contains less than 0.5 wt % of soluble fibre. Method is suggested for diagnostics of carbohydrate metabolism disturbance in vertebrate. Method is suggested for determination of glucose concentration after food intake in vertebrate. Method is suggested for determination of insulin response in vertebrate after food intake. Method is suggested for self-diagnostics or self-monitoring of diabetes in human being. Method is suggested for determination of average glycemic index of tested food. New dry sample breakfast for screening and/or diagnostics provides for more complete assessment of individual health relative to diabetes and disturbed glucose tolerance.

EFFECT: provides oral diagnostic sample breakfast suitable for screening, early diagnostics and therapy of diabetes.
