FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to catalysts and methods of their production intended for use in electrodes of electrochemically gas sensors, fuel elements and for reactions of hydrocarbons dehydration. According to invention, in process of catalyst production, water suspension of nanodiamond is additionally added with specific surface of 200÷600 m2/g and content of nanodiamond of 20÷85 wt % relative to pure metal into water solution of platinum group metals complex and lithium formate, and synthesis is carried out at the temperature of 20÷40°C at pH=7 and concentration of acids/salts in solution from 10-3 to 5 10-3 g-mole/liter.
EFFECT: high selectiveness of catalyst at its application in indicator electrodes of electrochemical gas sensors CO and high efficiency in dehydration of hydrocarbons.
