CONTROLLABLE TRANSFORMER-TYPE REACTOR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H01F29/14 H02J3/18

Abstract RU 2348998 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and may be used as static capacitor of excessive reactor power in power grids. The reactor is provided with a closed core, central rod being within the closed core, control winding coiled on the central rod, network winding and control unit. The cylindrical rod is available in the reactor. It is situated concentrically with regard to the central rod and linked with the closed core. At least, one transverse clearance is available in the central rod. The network winding is coiled on the central rod. The length of the transverse clearance or total length of the transverse clearance satisfies the condition: where Lcl - length of the transverse clearance or total length of the several clearances; μr - relative magnetic conductivity of the cylindrical rod material; μ0=4π·10-7 H/m (absolute magnetic conductivity of the transverse clearance) Bs - operating induction of the cylindrical rod material; L -cylindrical rod length; F - magnetomotive force of network winding.

EFFECT: increased reaction and efficiency factor, simplification of design, reduction of dimensions and amounts of conducting materials used.
