FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns optic measurement and can be applied in defining component concentration in pulsating turbid media, including blood components in living organisms. Method of defining component concentrations in pulsating turbid medium involves optic radiation supply to turbid medium under examination, and registration of optic signal leaving examined medium in a time span including at least one pulsation. Radiation directed to pulsating turbid medium is linear polarised, and polarised radiation part is registered at the outlet from examined medium. Component concentration of examined medium is determined by parameter change of this polarised radiation component, associated with pulsation of examined medium.

EFFECT: non-invasive (without disruption of skin) determination of blood component concentration (e.g. of hemoglobin and glucose).
