FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, vanadium, copper, chrome, nickel, calcium, nitrogen, iron and admixtures, at following ratio of components, wt %: carbon 0.60-0.73, silicon 0.27-0.35, manganese 0.80-1.05, vanadium 0,07-0,12, chrome 0,60-0,90, nickel 0,03-0,30, copper 0,03-0,30, nitrogen 0.012-0.020, calcium from more than 0.005 till 0.008, in the capacity of admixtures sulphur - not more 0.020, phosphorus - not more than 0.020, aluminium - not more 0.005, oxygen - not more 0.0025, hydrogen - not more 0.0002, iron is the rest.
EFFECT: increasing of mechanical properties, steel solidity, increasing of service durability of railway wheels.
