FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: centrifugal axial fan comprises the following components installed in metal jacket of rectangular cross section at the same axis: inlet opening, suction nozzle, impeller, drive and outlet opening, and noise suppressor plates fixed on metal jacket, which include sound-absorbing material and acoustically permeable shell, according to invention. Walls of metal jacket are arranged as composite of two partitions, at that sound-absorbing plates are installed between partitions of jacket walls along the whole perimeter and length of fan, at that jacket is equipped with damping inserts installed along perimeter of side, upper and lower walls between their partitions and adjacent to sound-absorbing plates, and noise suppressor plates are fixed on internal surface of jacket side walls along their full length, at that sound-absorbing material is located between internal surface of jacket walls and acoustically permeable shell.

EFFECT: protection of rooms against internal and external aerodynamic noise, higher efficiency of aerodynamic noise suppressor, lower consumption of sound-absorbing material.
