FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transfer mechanisms designed to convert rotary motion into reciprocation and alternating motion, and can be used for machining at lathes. The proposed device comprises the housing, rotation mechanism drive, drive transfer shaft, movable actuator linked up with a sliding nut that moves when in mesh with the drive transfer shaft and fixed support of the shaft. The movable actuator surface cross section represents polyhedron, for example quadrate, that is engaged with the intermediate extension with outer surface cross section identical to the inner surface of the movable actuator. The aforesaid extension is attached on the drive transfer shaft square-section end.
EFFECT: reduced metal input and power consumption, automation of machining on lathes and circular grinding machines.
