SUBSTANCE: while applying the claimed method and in case all burners are in operation, fuel air mixture is supplied to the fire chamber through burners. The air fuel mixture is consumed by burners in equal proportions. When side burner is switched off, the air fuel mixture consumption by the operating burners is set according to the following dependency: If the central burner is switched off, the air fuel mixture consumption by the operating burners is set according to the other dependency such as: where B_n - air fuel mixture consumption by n operating burner; n - operating burner number starting from the operating opposite side burner to the direction of the switched off burner; B - total consumption of air fuel mixture supplied to the fire chamber.

EFFECT: increased quality of burning and operational reliability due to avoiding uneven temperature levels in active burning area and preventing slug formation on shield heating surfaces when one out of four front burner is switched off in well and mill fire chamber.
