FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: stated laser coherent locator uses unmodulated radiations of fixed-frequency gas laser in mode of heterodyne reception of reflected radiations from located object and group of sea surface flares casually distributed and formed by scattering of probing radiation in location object. Locator uses matrix of photosensitive elements and multi-channel unit of information processing with application of dispersed delay lines (DDL) in channels as matched filters for wideband linear-frequency-modulated (LFM) signals produced by mixing of high-frequency oscillations from outlets of photodetector matrix elements, frequencies of which correspond to Doppler shifts in reflected radiations, with oscillations of heterodyne of LFM signals.
EFFECT: increased power potential and fast-action of locator, and also provision of counteraction to reconnaissance of locator performance characteristics by analysis of its radiation.
