SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanism for selecting the format for a device for distributing wiping material, like toilet paper, which contains a case with lateral flanges, between which is placed a barrel with cutting blades, roll of materials, press roll and roll guide. The format selection mechanism makes it possible to control the production formats (A1-A2) of strips in the ratio one is to two. Position of the format selection mechanism ensures the emerging of the cutting blade from the drum during each rotation for the small format and every two rotations for the large format. Format selection mechanism contains an operating lever, which comprises of two fixed supports, located at a distance from each other on the flange, simultaneously limiting the angular gap and, corresponding to the inclination of the lever to the upper or lower part depending on the format selected. Inclination of the lever acts axially to the propelling force of the pusher directed on the barrel, which takes two cog wheels, mounted on the Y axis, and through a special function the position of the specified pushing lever causes the initiation of a connection between cog wheels, and the emerging of the cutting blade during each rotation of the drum, or the deviation of the cog wheels and the emerging of the cutting blade every two rotations.
EFFECT: invention provides design simplification and possibility of integration to the existing device.
