STRAIGHTENED INTRAVASCULAR STENT Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61F2/82

Abstract RU 2350301 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to dilated medical implants for support maintenance in a vessel lumen. The straightened intravascular stent contains the flexible tubular case with a longitudinal axis. The case wall is formed by mutually bridged closed elements of a skeleton located with at least two elements, adjoining to each other in a direction on a circle. Elements of the skeleton with the extended form are capable to transfer squeezing forces in a radial direction, and also continuously to transfer pressure from one element of a skeleton immediately in the element of a skeleton following in a longitudinal direction. The stent is executed with possibility of straightening from radially compressed condition in a condition having larger diameter. Elements are bridged among themselves by connecting links. Connecting links are located between mutually approaching tops of the closed elements of a skeleton with the extended form under an angle and to a direct, parallel longitudinal axis of a stent and passing through a point of bond of a link with an element of a skeleton in the range from 0 to 30°.

EFFECT: maintenance of stability of length of a stent at augmentation of its diameter and augmentation of its flexibility.
