FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates, in general, to medical devices and especially, but not exclusively, to medical devices for straightening in the lumen, and in particular to stents. Stent (100) contains tubular support structure (102) containing a set of rings (202, 204, 206, 208) and a set of elongated connecting elements (212) for connection of the set of rings (202, 204, 206, 208). The set of rings (202, 204, 206, 208) is located sequentially along their common longitudinal axis. Each of the set of rings (202, 204, 206, 208) is formed by a set of crowns (210) connected along a circumferential direction. Each crown (210) is formed by two straight spacers (216) located in a V-shaped configuration. At least one of the set of elongated connecting elements (212) connects adjacent rings (202, 204, 206, 208). Elongated connecting elements (212) following each other, connecting adjacent rings (202, 204, 206, 208), form a mirror reflection of each other relatively to a radial reflection surface. At least one of the set of elongated connecting elements (212) is formed of two long sections (402), and short section (404) forms a Z-shaped configuration, in which long sections (402) are parallel, and short section (404) forms an obtuse angle with long sections (402), and the obtuse angle is constant, when compressing or expanding tubular support structure (102).
EFFECT: stent has a high degree of flexibility, significant radial strength, resistance to destruction, and insignificant losses of an axial length after straightening, has optimal levels of a load-bearing capacity, flexibility, and radial strength, and, at the same time, twisting forces in the stent are balanced, which is useful for trackability and makes the stent safe.
