FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: flexible stent comprises elements with a wavy structure having a wavy structure and located side by side in the axial direction and spiral elements located between adjacent elements with a wave-like structure and spiraling about an axis. All vertices on opposite sides of adjacent elements with a wave-like structure are connected by means of spiral elements. At that, if viewed in a radial direction perpendicular to the axial direction, the circumferential direction of the elements with a wave-like structure is inclined relative to the radial direction and the winding direction of one of the spiral elements extending axially on one side of the wave-like elements and the winding direction of another spiral element extending axially on the other side are opposite, as a result of which the amount of deformation in the radial direction of the stent is reduced due to the twisting load.
EFFECT: stent with increased flexibility that can limit the amount of deformation in the radial direction of the stent relative to the twisting load.
