FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: silicon dioxide is produced by hydrolysis in flame of multi-channel tubular burner comprising 3 to 5 concentric tubes. Multi-layer flow structure is formed at the burner outlet, made up of alternating concentric jets comprising, at least, one gaseous or evaporating silicon compound, water-forming combustible gas and oxygen-containing gas. Oxygen-containing gas is fed via the central tube incorporating appliances to swirl the flow and/or to release it in form of circular jet.
EFFECT: higher quality of produced silicon dioxide, safety of flame process and burner scaling reliability.
