FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method for fabricating brush sealing and device for implementation of this method consists in assembling toroid-like mandrel with circular base and two side circular cages, on peripheral part of which coaxial apertures are made. Inclined shears are performed on the side circular cages, while side chamfers are made on the circular base. The circular base is arranged between the side circular cages so that their inclined shears couple with the side chamfers of the circular base. The circular base and side circular cages are tied between them by means of fastening elements via the coaxial apertures which form integrated toroid-like mandrel with circular surfaces in the unit; axial cuts are applied on the said surfaces; the cuts function as guides for elastic material winding, for instance, for winding metal wire; after completion of winding this material is pressed with two circular flanges to the toroid-lake mandrel; further the peripheral parts of the circular cages together with the fastening elements and adjacent section of the elastic material are cut off along the circumference and removed, while the adjacent cage, flange and elastic material are rigidly connected between them along periphery by means, for instance, welding; then the interior section of the elastic material together with the adjacent part of the circular base is cut off; the adjoining circular cages are divided and the rest part of the circular base is removed. Also the side chamfers of the circular base are made so, that they form a projecting part of the circular base. One side chamfer of the circular base is located on the less diameter comparing to the other side chamfer, while the inclined shears on the side circular cages are performed so, that at conjugation of the circular cages with the circular base they form coupled permanent connection; also one inclined shear is located relative to the other inclined shear on diameters corresponding to diameters of side chamfers of the circular base. The inclined shears on the side circular cages are performed so, that when the circular cages are conjugated with the circular base, they form coupled permanent connection, while the circular flanges are made according to dimensions of the side circular cages. After winding the elastic material and cutting-off the toroid-like mandrel along the periphery and the interior circular surface there are produced two identical sets of brush sealing, i.e. with identical incline of the elastic material.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of fabricating brush sealing due to rigid connection of coupled elements of toroid-like mandrel, and to directed winding of elastic material; also increased service life and reliability of structure.
