FIELD: physics; radio.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to radio engineering. The method of evaluating signal parameters involves spectral analysis of the signal, carried out in two successive stages, distinguished by signal processing algorithms and plotting of signal pseudospectra at each stage. At the first stage, there is calculation and analysis of eigen pairs of the signal correlation matrix. At the second stage, there is calculation and analysis of weight coefficients inversely proportional to corresponding eigen values of the signal correlation matrix. The device for evaluating signal parameters has a set of units for signal spectral analysis, comprising a pseudospectrum plotting unit, as well as an analogue-to-digital converter and a signal frequency evaluation unit. The other version of the device comprises a set of signal spectral analysis units, comprising a pseudospectrum plotting unit, a wavelet resolution unit, an analogue-to-digital converter and a signal frequency evaluation unit.
EFFECT: accurate estimation of signal carrier frequency.
