SUBSTANCE: invention concerns electric equipment. Claimed method involves winding operation by multicore cable consisting of wires insulated by polish. Before winding into internal magnetic core surface the cable is twisted to form a figure with circular cross-section. For winding onto end and external magnetic core surface the cable is shaped to form rectangular cross-section of variable width proportional to current winding radius to internal window radius for each winding layer.

EFFECT: enhanced coil winding density due to variable width along the whole surface of magnetic core, reduced winding leakage inductance, multicore cable length and transformer size.
