FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to biologically active protein-mineral feed additives and can be used in feed rations for cattle. Initial material for the feed additive is plant raw material, wastes from stock breeding, poultry keeping and food industry. The biologically active feed additive based on peat has the following composition: cattle dung - 12-18%; poultry droppings - 8-12%; fresh distillery refuse - 12-13%; mixture of ground up low and high moor peat with not more than 40% moisture - the rest. The method of obtaining feed additive from organic raw materials involves preparing the initial mixture, its pre-mixture and grinding, subsequent two-stage aerobic fermentation for a period of 4-6 days with subsequent granulation and drying the end product. The invention increases weight gain and preservation of livestock by 9-11%.

EFFECT: invention increases productivity and boosts health of livestock and reduces cost of the product at the same time.
