SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes processing the workpiece by cup-like tool in rolling the said workpiece over generating crown whereat the axis of symmetry of generating profile intercrosses the generating crown axis. The generating crown gashes are arranged at equal angles to the axis of symmetry, while the tool axis of rotation is located parallel to the axis of symmetry of the generating crown gash. The later is located to intercross the generating crown axis at a right angle at the distance defined by the formula enclosed herein depending upon the number of generating crown teeth, rated radius of the tool outer turn and generating crown initial circumference radius.
EFFECT: expanded processing performances of axis of symmetry of generating profiles that shape tooth concave and convex sides.
